Biography
After studying journalism part time, she worked for several years as a presenter and commissioner for Swiss radio and television before taking up a directing degree at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Her films "Der Ast, auf dem ich sitze" and "Geschlossene Gesellschaft – Der Missbrauch an der Odenwaldschule" (co-directed by Regina Schilling) won the Grimme Award, as did "Drei Frauen – Ein Krieg" ("Trained to See - Three Women and the War") which also received the Marl Group Audience Award and met with success at international festivals.
