Summary

Since they are all short of money, aged friends Anne, Eddi and Johannes decide to revive the commune lifestyle of their student days. Sharing a flat, the three feel just like they have been transported to happier times: Staying up till dawn, listening to records, drinking wine and philosophizing on life in general. But a trio of law students living upstairs are annoyed by the lively best-agers, and demand order and quiet to return to the apartment house. Anne, Eddi and Johannes are shocked that students nowadays could be so petty bourgeois, and they are not willing to give up their newfound laissez faire life style. Thus begins a different kind of generational conflict.
