She sang everything from punk rock to funk music and even Zarah Leander songs. Furthermore, Hagen starred in the leading role of the TV movie "Heute ist Freitag" (1975), but since then only sporadically appeared in movies such as "Lilien in der Bank" (1992), "Vasilisa" (2001) und "7 Zwerge" ("7 Dwarves", 2004). Hagen also worked as a dubbing voice, for instance in "Spirited Away" (2001). She is the mother of actress Cosma Shiva Hagen (born 1981)
