Die Vergesslichkeit der Eichhörnchen

The 27-year-old Ukrainian Marija comes to Germany to work as a domestic helper and nurse. With the money she wants to secure the livelihood of her family. 24 hours a day she is now there for Curt, who is suffering from dementia - actually a normal job if it weren't for Curt's daughter Almut, who turns out to be a bossy control freak. When the situation between the unequal women threatens to escalate, Almut suddenly no longer shows up. At the same time, Curt begins to think Marija is his deceased wife Marianne. Marija lets herself get involved in the bizarre role play, as it makes her care life easier. However, Curt's son Philipp comes to visit more and more often. He takes a liking to the nurse and seeks her closeness. Soon things are getting too much for Marija, but Philipp won't accept her notice.
