The Space Between the Lines

Adaptation of the eponymous novel by Daniel Glattauer. Homemaker Emma and linguist Leo get accidently acquainted due to a misspelled E-mail address. Instead of just deleting Emma's mail, Leo answers her. Over the course of several weeks, the two exchange thoughtful mails and eventually grow very fond of each other. Nevertheless, they both want to keep their relationship strictly online, for Leo is still clinging to his ex-girlfriend Marlene, while Emma is busy running a household for her husband Bernhard and her two stepchildren. Yet with every E-mail, the bond between them gets stronger and the mutual desire grows. Nevertheless, they wonder if a personal encounter might destroy the magic of their relationship.
