Yoran Leicher was born in 2005 and grew up in Hachenburg. In 2016 he stood in front of the camera for the first time for the student short film "Der Junge". In the same year he played Rumpelstiltskin in the student theatre play "Der Froschkönig streikt" at the Bühne der Kulturen Köln.
Leicher made his feature film debut with a smaller role in "Liliane Susewind - Ein tierisches Abenteuer" ("Little Miss Dolittle", 2017). At the same time he had further stage appearances at the Cologne Theater im Hof (2017) and the Theater Der Keller (2019-2020). After another supporting role in Vanessa Jopp's box-office success "Gut gegen Nordwind" ("The Space Between the Lines", 2019), Leicher was given his first leading role by director Sarah Winkenstette: In the multiple award-winning children's and youth film "Zu weit weg" ("Too Far Away", 2019), he impersonated a 12-year-old outsider at a new school who makes friends with a Syrian refugee boy.
