Biography

Thea Ehre was born on December 19, 1999 in Wels, Austria and is currently attending an acting course at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and a workshop in Meisner Training at the Vienna Film School. She made her debut in front of the camera in 2019 with a small role as an assistant in two episodes of the TV series "Vorstadtweiber". In February 2021, Ehre outed herself as part of the #actout initiative in the SZ magazine together with 184 other lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, non-binary and trans actors, then still under the name Thea David Ehrensperger.

At the Porn Film Festival Vienna and a little later at the "Dunkelkammer" of the Vienna Volkstheater, Thea Ehre appeared on stage in 2021/22 in "Fugue Four Response", a performance she co-wrote with Luca Bonamore, Nick Romeo Reimann and Olivia Scheucher about the influence of mainstream pornography on one's own sexuality.

Thea Ehre made her feature film debut under the direction of Christoph Hochhäusler in "Bis ans Ende der Nacht" ("Till the End of the Night") as a trans woman who is recruited for an undercover police operation. The film premiered in competition at the 2023 Berlinale. In the same year, she was part of the ensemble in a supporting role in the streaming crime series "Luden - Könige der Reeperbahn" (2023) by Laura Lackmann and Stefan Lukacs, set in the 1980s.
