Harald Leipnitz was born in 1926. After training as an actor and singer in Wuppertal, he began his career on stage and screen in 1962. In 1963, he was awarded the German Film Award for his role in "Die endlose Nacht". He also received a Bambi Award in 1968. Apart from countless roles, for example in Karl-May-films, he has appeared in well-known series such as "Kir Royal" (1985), "Kuestenwache" (1995) and "Alarm fuer Cobra 11" (1999). "Midnight Love" ("Liebe nach Mitternacht") was his debut as a cinema director. Harald Leipnitz died in November 2000.
