Camille Loup Moltzen was born in 2013 in Berlin, the son of actor Peter Moltzen and actress-turned-talent agent Nora Moltzen. Introduced to the world of film at a very young age through his parents, he began appearing in TV commercials in 2018, including spots for Deutsche Bahn and Bosch. His first big-screen appearance came in 2021 with a small role in Pablo Larraín’s "Spencer" (DE/GB/US 2021). That same year, he had a supporting role on television as the son of the main character in the euthanasia drama "Bring mich nach Hause", in which his two-year-older sister, Renée Moltzen, also appeared.
In the award-winning feature film "Wann wird es endlich wieder so, wie es nie war" ("When Will It Be Again Like It Never Was Before", DE/BE 2022), based on Joachim Meyerhoff’s autobiographical novel, Moltzen portrayed the protagonist in his younger years. He also had episodic roles in the series "Deadlines" (2021) and "Notruf Hafenkante" (2022).
Moltzen gained significant recognition for his performance in the intense TV drama "Ein Mann seiner Klasse", an adaptation of Christian Baron’s autobiographical novel about growing up in extreme poverty. His performance earned him widespread praise. At the TeleVisionale festival in Baden-Baden, he won the Student Jury Film Award for Best Emerging Actor, and at the Sehsüchte International Student Film Festival in Potsdam, he received a Special Mention.
At the 2025 Berlinale, Camille Moltzen was featured in two films: in the Panorama section as part of the ensemble cast of Ina Weisse’s "Zikaden" ("Cicadas", DE/FR 2025) and in the Perspectives section in a leading role in Constanze Klaue’s "Mit der Faust in die Welt schlagen" ("Punching the World", 2024). The latter, a drama about two brothers in rural Saxony, follows one sibling’s gradual descent into the far-right scene.
