Film synopsis: In the last part of the "Winnetou" trilogy, the chief of the Apache Indians and his blood brother Old Shatterhand once again have to fight outlaws who try to make money out of the war between the Indians and the white men. Furthermore, Winnetou becomes the suspect in an insidious murder case. Rollins, the leader of the bandits, instigates the settlers against the Indians, and also kills the son of the chief of the Jicarilla Indians and sets Winnetou up as the murderer. Thus, Winnetou and Shatterhand have to fight on two front-lines – against the incited Indians on the one side and against the wily desperadoes on the other side. Still, our protagonists are able to track down Rollins at the last minute. But restoring peace comes at a high price as Winnetou is shot and killed by Rollins in their final fight.
