Summary

Germany, the year 1942: In order to protect him from the devastating truth, Marianne Meißner tells her little son that their Jewish neighbours are going on a trip to "Toyland". One morning, the Jewish family is gone, as is Marianne′s son Heinrich. Knowing all too well that there is no Toyland – just like the whole nation knew what was really happening to their fellow Jewish citizens –, Marianne desperately tries to save her child.
