Summary
Documentary about black players in the German national football team: Torsten König lets numerous athletes such as Erwin Kostedde, the first black player in the German national team, Jimmy Hartwig, Gerald Asamoah, Cacau and Steffi Jones have their say and reflect on their careers. Their experiences with openly racist hostility are discussed as well as the less offensive but nevertheless omnipresent racism cultivated by fans and the media over decades. The film proves that while things have certainly improved, racism remains an everyday experience for people of colour in (not just) sport.
