Summary
Construction work in the Hörde district of Dortmund took more than five years: The former Thyssen and Krupp steel mill site has given way to an artificial lake, the Phoenix Lake. Luxurious houses have been built on its shores, but the apartments are unaffordable for people from the industrial neighborhood. The film lets residents and project planners, skeptics and visionaries have their say and deals with questions of modern urban development - will residents be displaced by projects like Phoenix Lake? How will this form of urban planning change society? How will people's lives and homes change after the industry is shut down?
