Summary

Mockumentary about a legendary football player named Rudi Varda, who was considered an enormous talent in the 1970s and began a football career in Germany and Austria. Despite his skills, he never made a breakthrough, which is why he practically disappeared overnight in 1982. Forty years later, his brother Ferdi, a football groundskeeper, learns that Rudi went to Brazil at that time and became a highly revered football deity (virtually unnoticed in Germany) to this day. Ferdi embarks on a quest to find Rudi, but no one seems to know where he is today. Ferdi follows his brother's trail from his local soccer club SV Rübenach to South America and back to Vienna. Real coaches and players like Rainer Calmund also share their experiences with Varda.
