Summary
Non-Stop Trouble with Spies
Slapstick comedy film in typical Dieter "Didi" Hallervorden fashion: Before the backdrop of the Cold War, the film tells the story of the innocent cab driver Herbert Böckmann. After a spy dies under mysterious circumstances in his cab, Böckmann is hired by the KGB and the GDR intelligence service to shed light upon the murder’s backgrounds. Shortly after, the CIA and the West German secret service also approach him and submit a far better offer to him. In utter despair, Böckmann takes to the council of a female psychiatrist who equips him with a miracle drug: Whenever Böckmann sniffs the tincture, he transforms into the uncompromising spy Herbie Melbourne who teaches the competing secret services the true meaning of fear.
