Summary
This short silent film uses a theatrical plot to promote financial support for German troops at the front: Janssen, a citizen, wants to persuade his brother-in-law Kramer to sign war bonds. To support his case for war bonds, Janssen recounts his wartime experiences. He lost his farm, his wife, and his child in a Russian raid. Without the support of all generations, the front could not protect civilians from the enemy, Janssen says. His story ends with the entire village signing up for war bonds.
