Summary

Filmmaker Carmen Tatarotti already portrayed author Friederike Mayröcker in 1989. A few years after the death of Ernst Jandl, Mayröcker′s long-time companion and collaborator, the two decided to make another film. Mostly operating camera and microphone herself, Tartarotti discreetly followed the 84-year-old actress over the course of several years.

"I thought it should be a film about silence. Writing and silence. But how can this be done? Other authors may produce things from their brain while talking, but I can′t. I don′t like to speak! And this will be the premise of our film. That is what we will do!"
