Dirk Lütter was born in 1970 Neuß. After studying Cinematography in Berlin, he studied Directing at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and Script Writing at the German Academy of Film & Television in Berlin. Since 2000, he has worked as a cine - matographer and gained recognition with his award-winning short films "Heroes" (2005) and "The Invisible Hand" (2007). "The Education" (2011) is his feature debut as a director.
