Mira Bartuschek
Mira Bartuschek, born February 17, 1978, in Kempen near Krefeld, started her acting career at the age of 16 in a youth theatre group in Krefeld and attended actor"s training at Munich"s Otto-Falckenberg-Schule from 1998 to 2001. Subsequently, she became a cast member at Hamburg"s Schauspielhaus where she stayed until 2005. Bartuschek made her movie debut in Hans-Christian Schmid"s "Crazy" (2000) while she still attended drama school.
In 2001, she won the Solopreis des Bundeswettbewerbes deutscher Schauspielschulen for her performance in the production of "Roberto Zucco" at Münchner Kammerspiele. Bartuschek played her first leading role in a movie in Marco Kreuzpaintner"s highly-praised youth drama "Ganz und gar". During the following years, Bartusckek was mainly seen in TV productions besides her theatre work. Since 2005/2006, she is a cast member of Zürich"s Schauspielhaus. It took her until 2008 to return to the big screen in a leading role in "Finnischer Tango" ("Finnish Tango"), directed by Buket Alakus.
