Hysteria

When a Quran is accidentally burned on a film set and crucial footage mysteriously disappears, assistant director Elif is drawn into a whirlwind of shame and suspicion.

"Hysteria" is Büyükatalay’s second feature film as a writer-director following his debut "Oray", which received the Best First Feature Award at the Berlinale in 2019 when it premiered in the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section. Another feature-length production of Cologne based filmfaust GmbH – Cem Kaya’s "Love", Deutschmarks and Death" - won the Audience Award of the Berlinale's Panorama section in 2022 and was nominated in the Best Documentary category for this year's German Film Awards.
