The author Sam is in a crisis: while her professional success remains elusive, her boyfriend announces that he’s leaving her. In an attempt to escape the emotional turmoil, clear her mind, and finally finish her cursed novel, Sam impulsively decides to retreat to her newly divorced parents' vacation home in Lanzarote. However, her brother Frederick insists on coming along. Things get more complicated when they discover that their father, Jo, has secretly moved into the house after the divorce. The situation spirals into full-blown chaos with the unexpected arrival of their mother, Sybille, and her new boyfriend, Marc.
