In Berlin wächst kein Orangenbaum
Nabil is 44 years old and has been in prison in Berlin for 15 years. When he is diagnosed with an incurable disease, he is offered the prospect of early release. Nabil accepts, not least to claim his share from his accomplice Ivo from the last joint robbery. He wants to leave the money to his ex-wife Cora, whom he abandoned at the time. This is also how he meets his daughter Juju, whose existence Cora has hitherto concealed from him. For Juju, who feels confined in the provinces, Nabil is the ticket out to the big city life of Berlin. Once there, she meets the handsome Karl, but is also confronted with her father's criminal past. Despite all the difficulties, however, father and daughter soon develop a close relationship.
