Biography
Born in Limassol, Cyprus, in 1967, he moved to Athens in 1987 where he studied film and subsequently directed shorts and documentaries. He made his feature film debut, "Matchbox", in 2003. It was followed in 2006 by "Soul Kicking", which celebrated its world premiere in Cannes, and by the 2010 work "Knifer" which premiered in Busan. "Knifer" also received the award for Best Greek Film in 2010; he has received a total of seven awards from the Greek Film Academy.
