Biography
Tobias Müller taught at an elementary school in Detroit after graduating from high school. He completed several internships at public broadcasters in the USA and Germany and has worked as a cinema projectionist and freelancer for newspapers, radio stations, and documentary film production companies.
He studied Directing at the Escuela Internacional de Cine in Cuba and at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. He was honored with the Student German Human Rights Film Award, the Caligari Award and the Discovering Eye Award in Chicago for his documentary "Schloss Bánffy" ("Bánffy Castle", 2005). "Mein Erlöser lebt" ("My Redeemer Lives", 2008) was his graduation film and was nominated for the First Steps Award.
