Biography
Rolf Roring was born in 1976. Form 1996 until 1999, he was a media studies and German literature major in Berlin. During that time, he already worked in several departments on film and television productions. From 2001 on, Roring studied directing and producing for film and television at the WAM Medienakademie in Dortmund. After graduating in 2006, he worked as a producer for MTV Networks Germany. Since 2011, he's been developing and producing TV formats for the production company Strandgutmedia.
Roring's screenplay for "Dear Courtney" was long-listed for the Deutsche Drehbuchpreis. The comedy premiered at the 2013 Max-Ophüls-Preis Festival and was released theatrically in April 2014.
