Ricarda Zimmerer was born in Munich in 1996. She was discovered at a casting for the children's film "Hanni & Nanni", and ended up playing a friend of the titular heroes. She then appeared alongside Hannelore Elsner and Karoline Eichhorn in the tragicomedy "Alles Liebe", and also had a supporting role in the family drama "Neben meinem Bruder". She got her first leading role in Tobias Ineichen's teen adventure "Clara und das Geheimnis der Bären" (2012), playing a 13-year-old who solves an ancient mystery in the Swiss Alps. Since 2012, Ricarda Zimmerer is also a member of the BackstageKlub theatre company at the Volkstheater in Munich.
