Biography
Born in 1962 in Dresden where he studied fine art and graphic design from 1979-81. He joined the DEFA Studio for Animated Film in 1981 and studied animation at the "Konrad Wolf" College of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg from 1994-87. From 1991-98 he worked as a freelance producer, writer and cinematographer for documentaries and animation films, and in 1999 he joined Balance Film.
