Biography
Peter Zingler was born in 1944 in Chemnitz/Germany. He has been a writer since 1985, publishing numerous novels and collections of short stories as well as screenplays for such TV series as "Ein Fall für Zwei" (1986-1994), "Eurocops" (1991-1992), "Tatort" (1990-1995), "Gerichtsreporterin"(1994) and "Peter Strohm" (1995). He received the Ingeborg Drewitz Literature Prize from the North Rhine-Westphalian Arts Ministry in 1989 and an Adolf Grimme Award in 1993 for the "Tatort" episode ("Kinderspiel"). "Life is a Bluff" ("Alles nur Tarnung", 1996) was his directorial debut.
