Oliver Mielke, born April 10, 1965, started his career in the media with small jobs for TV productions, for instance as a cable carrier, before he started to work full-time as a unit manager for ARD productions. He worked as an editor for the popular music TV show "Formel Eins" and already in 1995 Mielke became the head of entertainment of Pro7, a commercial TV station where he was in charge of several successful comedy shows including "Bullyparade", "Quatsch Comedy Club", and "Blondes Gift".
In 1997, Mileke set up his own film and TV production company "Entertainment Factory". For ZDF, Mielke produced the comedy show "WIB-Schaukel" (2001 to 2004), hosted by Wigald Boning, that won a Grimme award in 2004. One year later, "Bully und Rick" won the German comedy award. Mielke"s career as a director started in 2002 when he directed several episodes of the sitcom "Finanzamt Mitte – Helden des Alltags" starring Christian Tramitz. But in the following years Mielke returned to the production and creation of TV shows. In 2008, Oliver Mielke finally made his feature film debut as a director with the trickster comedy "Ossi"s Eleven". The film was also written and produced by Mielke.
