Biography
Olaf Saumer was born in 1976 in Kassel. After studying Administration and Economics he went on to study Film Directing in the Department of Visual Communication at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. His first short, "Silent Waters" (Stille Wasser) was a dreamy musical-comedy. His most recent short film "Little Annabelle" (Kleine Annabelle) was widely acclaimed within the German film community resulting in a successful festival run. In 2007 he directed the documentary portrait "Ecki’s World – The Oldest Video Store in the World". His thesis film "Suicide Club" is his first feature-length film.
