Mira Partecke was born in Hamburg in 1971. After studying acting in Bochum, she subsequently worked at the Berliner Ensemble. Following stints in Hannover and Zurich, she joined the Münchner Kammerspiele in 2001. Since 2004 she is an ensemble player at the renowned Berliner Volksbühne.
Partecke made her screen debut in the 2007 tragicomedy "Der Letzte macht das Licht aus!". After supporting roles in Maren Ade's acclaimed drama "Alle Anderen" ("Everyone Else", 2009) and the Hamlet adaptation "Elf Onkel" (2010), she was cast in the leading role for "Eine flexible Frau" ("The Drifter", 2010), playing an architect who hits rock bottom after losing her job. Partecke also appeared in the comedy "Arschkalt" ("No more Mr. Ice Guy") and the satirical drama "Die traurige Geschichte der Gloria S." (2011).
In 2011, Partecke was cast in a leading role in Lola Randl's "Die Erfindung der Liebe", a production which was previously halted due to the death of original star Maria Kwiatkowsky. Instead of having Mira Partecke playing the role embodied by Kwiatkowsky, she was given a completely new part, and the story was changed in order to include Kwiatkowsky's performance as well.
