Michael Blume

Biography

Born in Magdeburg on 10.2.1960, he began his career as a camera assistant in a documentary film studio. He subsequently held down jobs as a film projectionist, props manager at a theatre and also worked in his parents’ pharmacy. He became a freelance television producer for GDR television in 1983 and began working as a freelance journalist and press photographer in 1989. He entered the film industry as a producer in 1994. His new project is the adaptation of Thomas Mann"s short story "Der Kleiderschrank" under the title "Heiligendamm".
