Biography
Marta Masferrer was born in 1977 and is a Cuban-American director who has written and/or directed numerous short films while completing her MFA in Film Directing at New York City's prestigious Columbia University. In recent years she worked as a Development Assistant for Richard Linklater's production company Detour Films and as an editor for television and web-based documentaries and commercials. Some of her award-winning work includes the short films "Conlang, Bad Behavior", and "Here Comes The Bride". She is an alumni of the Berlinale Talent Campus 2005, and her Columbia thesis film project "Asternauts" was also a finalist in the Berlin Today Award's producers pitching session at the Berlinale 2011.
