Biography
Marc Schlegel was born in Waiblingen on November 5 1982. He studied directing and screenwriting at the Filmakademie in Vienna. His student short "Bastagon und die Regenbogenprinzessin" (AT 2011) won several awards, and his graduation short film "Das Begräbnis des Harald Kramer" ("The Funeral of Harald Kramer", AT 2013) was awarded the Luggi-Waldleitner-Preis for Best Screenplay.
In 2015, Schlegel's feature film debut, the black comedy "Schmidts Katze" ("Schmidt's Nine Lives"), premiered at the Filmfest Emden-Norderney.
