Biography
Marc Schaumburg was born in Lüdenscheid in 1977. Following several internships, he studied film in Adelaide, Australia, and started out as a director for advertisements and music videos. In Los Angeles, he completed his first film, the animated horror movie "Goy", together with Felix Kersting. After returning to Germany, he directed the comedy "Hostelsuckers" and the shorts "Prostomium" and "Torture by Hope". In 2008, Schaumburg wrote the script for "Kleinstatthelden", and he and producer Felix Kersting began to acquire funds for the project. In 2010, the partly autobiographical tragicomedy about a young musician who returns to his hometown Lüdenscheid was released in German cinemas.
