Biography

Lisa Vicari was born on February 11 1997. She made her debut in the short film "Tunnelblicke" (2009), followed by the lead in the short "Viki Ficki" (2010). She then became wider known due to a significant supporting role in the popular childrens' book adaptation "Hanni & Nanni" (2010).

In 2011, the promising talent was one of the leads in the apocalyptic thriller "Hell", and her memorable performance garnered her a place on the shortlist for the Best Newcomer Award of the Förderpreis Deutscher Film. The same year, she also appeared alongside Christian Ulmen in the comedy "Einer wie Bruno" and in the TV drama "Und dennoch lieben wir", starring Claudia Michelsen and directed by Matthias Tiefenbacher.

After guest-starring in an episode of the TV series "Unter Verdacht" and a small part in Caroline Link's "Exit Marrakech", Vicari was cast as one of the leads in the coming-of-age comedy "Doktorspiele" ("Playing Doctor", 2014).

In the following years Vicari had supporting roles in the coming-of-age movie "Einmal bitte alles" ("Pretty Far from Okay", 2017), in the TV comedy "Zwei Sturköpfe im Dreivierteltakt" (2017) and in Vanessa Jopp's "Amour fou" (2017), an episode of the popular German crime series "Tatort". In the thriller "Luna" (2017), she played the title role of a 17-year-old agent's daughter who wants to track down the murderers of her family. In 2017 she also took on the central role of Martha Nielsen in the much acclaimed streaming series "Dark".    

A year later, Vicari starred as the title character in the youth drama "Schwimmen" ("Swimming", 2018), about two best friends who terrorize others with their mobile phone cameras.

In the coming-of-age comedy "Isi & Ossi" (2020), the first German-language Netflix in-house production, she played a teenager from a wealthy family who wants to shock her status-conscious parents with a new boyfriend from a precarious background. In Hans Steinbichler's youth story "Hannes" (2020), she was the friend of two best friends; Rick Ostermann cast her as a left-wing activist on the run in the dystopian "Das Haus" (2021). At the Hofer Filmtage 2021, the police drama "Am Ende der Worte" (2021) premiered, with Vicari as an idealistic young police officer who reaches a moral crossroads after an incident.
