Lea Freund, born in 1996, began acting before she graduated from high school in 2014: From 2013 she attended the Scream Factory acting and singing school in Frankfurt am Main. In 2015 she moved to Berlin, where she attended the Schauspielschule Charlottenburg until 2018. During this time she played her first roles in commercials and short films. In the daily soap "Unter Uns" she had a recurring role as a street girl in 2017. She also took part in a master class with Bernard Hiller in Los Angeles.
After finishing her acting education, Freund was seen in several episodes of the TV series "Nachtschwestern" (2019). She played a leading role in Norbert Lechner's youth film "Zwischen uns die Mauer", about the forbidden love between a West German schoolgirl and a GDR teenager in 1986. Also in 2019 Freund appeared in front of the camera for "Der Zürich-Krimi - Borchert und der Tote im See", in a leading role as daughter of the lawyer Borchert (Christian Kohlund).
