Biography
Born in Lahore in Pakistan in 1959, after his studies in graphic art he worked for a short time in advertising before joining the theatre from 1986-90 as a director and actor. From 1990-93 he taught art to children, and from 1993-98 he lectured art and design at Islamabad Art College. He worked on the German-Pakistani co-production "Khamoosh Pani" in 2001, since which time he has been involved in a number of film projects in Berlin and Lahore. "Chan di chummi" is his first documentary.
