Biography

Jonas Kaufmann was born on June 20, 2003 in Attendorn, Germany. He gained his first acting experience in the theater and musical group of his high school. He made his television debut in the series "Schloss Einstein", where he played the leading role of a boarding school sports student named Till in seasons 22 and 23 (2019-20). In 2020, he appeared in front of the camera for the youth film "Himbeeren mit Senf" ("Raspberries with Mustard") as the young main character's crush; at the Bavarian State Opera, he played Tristan in a stage production of "Tristan and Isolde" (2021) as part of the "Opera for All - Richard Wagner" project.  

In April 2023 "Himbeeren mit Senf" was released in cinemas. Almost simultaneously, the coming-of-age road movie "Morgen irgendwo am Meer" ("Tomorrow Somewhere by the Sea") premiered at the Bremen Film Festival, in which Kaufmann is a member of the ensemble.
