Biography
Johanna Ickert was born in 1982 in Braunschweig. She initially studied European Ethnology, Journalism and Sociology followed by work at the Toulouse-based production company Les Film du Sud and as a festival assistant at the Royal Anthropological Institute in London and at Ziegler Film in Berlin. With a scholarship from the Heinrich Böll Foundation, she also studied at the University of Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Since 2010, she has been working with the Berlin-based production company Sein im Schein.
Her films include: "Hüttenstadt" (doc, 2006), "Zeit die Planeten zu wechseln" (short, 2008), "Schach/Boxen" (doc, 2009), "Märchendising" (doc, 2010), "Keinschönerland" (short, 2011), "Energieland" (doc, 2011), "Raumpioniere" (doc, 2011), and "Revoluciòn" (doc, 2011).
