Biography
Jan Ralske was born in Texas (USA) in 1959 and studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and Wilhelm Pieck University in Rostock. He worked as a photo-journalist for BerlinÍs taz and as a freelancer for Deutsche Welle TV from 1984 onwards and then for MA.JA.DE Filmproduktion from 1995. He has directed several short films, including "Der Partisan" (1993) and "Vergangen, Vergessen, Vorueber" (1994), and graduated from the German Film & Television Academy (dffb) with "Not A Love Song/False Moves" (1997). Since then, he has made "Badolato: Hoffen auf ein Wunder" (2001).
