Biography
Gabriel Gauchet was born in 1978 in Lorient/France. From 1999-2003 he studied African Studies in Hamburg and Dakar/Senegal, followed by Film studies at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. He also studied at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Television (EICTV) in Havana. His films have been screened at over 60 international film festivals.
His films include: "When I Shot the Kankouran" (2003), "When Football is Painting" (2005), "Die Kneipe" (2006, co-directed with Andrzej Król), and "Efecto Dominó" (2010).
