Biography

After first starting out as a computer sciences major at Darmstadt University, Florian Kraft eventually studied media design in Mainz and later graduated with a diploma in digital imaging and animation from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

Already during his time in Mainz, he completed his first self-produced animated short "Eintagsliebe" (2000), which screened at numerous German festivals. He went on to contribute to TV productions, and in 2007, he worked on his first feature film release, Michael Herbig's "Lissi und der wilde Kaiser", for CA Scanline Production.

As an effect artist for Trixter Film, he subsequently worked on international big-budget productions, including "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" (USA 2008), "Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief" (USA 2010) and "Marvel's The Avengers" (USA 2012).
