Florian Beyer was born in Salzgitter in 1984. After completing high school and community service, he studied acting at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theater in Leipzig from 2005 to 2009. While still a student, he appeared on stage at the acting studio of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden from 2007, including in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." After graduating, Beyer was a permanent ensemble member at the Südthüringisches Staatsschauspiel Meiningen until 2014. There he appeared in productions of "Cabaret," "Iphigenie auf Tauris" and as "Hamlet."
In 2014, Beyer began working as a freelance actor and as a magician and mental magician - an area he says he developed a passion for as a young child. In 2017 he became German champion, in 2018 vice world champion and in 2021 European champion in mental magic. To keep his two professional fields separate, Beyer performs as a mentalist under the stage name Yann Yuro. As an actor, he appeared in individual episodes of the series "SOKO Leipzig" (2016, 2018) and "In aller Freundschaft" (2020). Beyer's professions were brought into line in the cinema documentary "The Expert at the Card Table - Looking for Erdnase" (2022), about the mysterious author of one of the most famous books on card magic tricks: in the reenactment scenes he played the titular author S.W. Erdnase, whose true identity remains unknown to this day.
