Biography
Finn Christoph Stroeks was born on June 11, 1985 in Düsseldorf, Germany. During his school years at a Waldorf school, he gained his first acting experience and started writing. After graduating from high school, he trained as a nurse in Düsseldorf before studying dramaturgy and screenwriting at the International Film School (ifs) in Cologne. There he wrote the screenplays for Florian Ross' short films "Bis zum letzten Schluck" (2012) and "Das Gewehr" (2014).
After completing his studies at the ifs, Stroeks began working as a writer for Matthias Schweighöfer's production company Pantaleon Films in September 2014. Together with Lucy Astner and Murmel Clausen, he co-wrote the screenplays for Schweighöfer's hit comedy "Der Nanny" ("The Manny", 2015) and Florian Ross' coming-of-age road movie "Vielmachglas" ("A Jar Full of Life", 2018). In addition, Stroek co-wrote the galas for the German Film Awards in 2018 and 2020 with Lena May Graf, as well as the gala for the First Steps Awards in 2020 on his own. In 2022, he ventured into rap under the pseudonym Bobby Fletcher, releasing the album "Vielleicht ist es besser so" in collaboration with Koljah Podwoik of the hip-hop band Antilopen Gang.
In the fall of 2023, Finn C. Stroek's first film as a director, co-directed with Lena May Graf, was released. The comedy, titled "Trauzeugen", also featured a script written by him.
