Biography

Fine Sendel was born in Berlin on 9 August 2000. After graduating from high school, she began studying acting at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) in 2018. In the same year, she was cast in the play "Champignol wider Willen" (directed by Herbert Fritsch) at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz - originally as a member of a chorus, but then in a leading role: "The fact that I was suddenly recast for the role of Mauricette was very lucky," Sendel recounted in an interview in 2019, "the actual actress dropped out, and then Fritsch asked me one afternoon if I wouldn't like to replace her. I still remember how I ran to the S-Bahn afterwards, screaming and crying with joy, to learn the lines right there."

She then appeared in guest roles in the TV series "SOKO Stuttgart" (2019), "In aller Freundschaft - Die jungen Ärzte" (2019) and "Der Ranger - Paradies Heimat" (2020). In early 2021, she played a supporting role in the highly acclaimed Amazon series "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo" ("We Children from Bahnhof Zoo"). In spring 2021, Fine Sendel stood in front of the camera in her first feature film leading role: In "The Ordinaries" (2022), a mixture of dystopian tragicomedy and coming-of-age story, she played a 16-year-old who lives in a world divided into a three-class society of "main characters", "minor characters" and "outtakes".
