Dimitri Abold was born in 1995 in Spanish Town, Jamaica. When he was three months old, the family moved to Germany. He grew up in Munich, where he attended the Munich International School in Starnberg. From 2013 to May 2017, Abold studied acting in the United States at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. During his studies, he appeared in a stage production of Aaron Sorkin's "A Few Good Men" (2015), among others.
Back in Munich, Abold appeared in several short films. He first appeared on TV in the TV movie "Die Lüge, die wir Zukunft nennen" (2019), an episode of the crime series "Polizeiruf 110" in which he was part of the team of investigators. In the 2019/20 season, he appeared at the Komödie im Bayerischen Hof in Munich in the ensemble of the comedy "Wer hat Angst vorm weißen Mann."
Abold had guest roles in episodes of the series "Die Inselärztin" (2020), "Warrior Nun" (US 2020), "Die Chefin" (2020), "Jack Ryan" (US 2021) and "Watzmann Ermittelt" (2021). He played a leading role on the big screen in the Bavarian provincial comedy "Beckenrand Sheriff" (2021), as a refugee who works as an assistant to a grumpy small-town lifeguard.
In addition to his work as an actor, Abold is also a theater pedagogue and acting coach for children and youth.
