Biography
Corinna Wichmann was born in Warendorf in 1970. Form 1990 to 1996, she studied photography, film and design in Bielefeld. In 1999, she enrolled in a post-graduate programme at the Kunsthochschule für Medien in Cologne and three years later completed her studies with the documentary essay "Die Stimme. Eine Reise". Since then, she freelanced as director, writer and DoP for several television networks. Her TV works include "Schlag.Fertig" (2008), a-long-time study on young, violent convicts and their rehabilitation. In 2010, Wichmann and co-director Lukas Schmid presented "Auf der sicheren Seite", a documentary on luxurious "Gated Communities" in different parts of the world.
Apart from her work as filmmaker, Corinna Wichmann has been working since April 2007 as an artistic and academic advisor in the department for documentary / film production at the Kunsthochschule für Medien in Cologne.
