Biography
Claudio Cupellini was born in Padua, Italy in 1973. He studied at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, and between 1999 and 2005, he completed several short films. In 2006, he worked on Paolo Virzi's omnibus film "4-4-2 – Il Gioco Piu Bello del Mondo", directing the segment "La donna del Mister". Claudio Cupellini's feature film debut" "Lezioni di cioccolato" (2007) became a box.office hit in Italy and was successfully screened at international festivals. The film was also nominated for the David-di-Donatello-Award, Italy's most coveted film award. In 2010, he presented his second feature film at the Rome Film Festival: The crime drama "Ein ruhiges Leben" (IT/D/F) was released in Germany in May 2012.
