Biography
Christian Schmidt-David was born in Kandel (Rhineland-Palatinate) on December 20th 1967. Starting out as a musician and DJ, he worked as a trainee at the Badische Staatstheater and later enrolled in the filmmaking class at the Filmakademie Baden-Würtemberg in Ludwigsburg, which he attended from 1993 to 1999. In 2002, Schmidt-David founded his talent agency Mogul, which he later expanded into the eponymous film production company.
After shooting several short films like "Champagner" (1991), "Auf der Suche nach Fantomas" (1994) or "Die schwarze Rose" (1995), he went on to direct numerous commercials, video clips and corporate films between 1997 and 2004. Finally, "LOve & MOtion" (2004/2005) marked Schmidt-David"s feature film debut as a director.
